What is Service?

Grand Master Choa Kok Sui has said in books, Doing service develops the heart. Doing service accelerates spiritual development. It is a faster way to develop than meditating alone in the mountains.

So how do we obey our Master and work towards serving the mankind? Tithing , caring for the poor, helping people during their times of need are some common ways of serving the humanity. We also get rewarded for the same by our great lord.

Service through Meditation

Meditation on Twin Hearts is a good way to serve mankind. But how does that happen? If we recall how we meditate during Twin Hearts we will see how easy it is to follow. When we start the meditation we first recall some happy moment of our lives to open up our heart and Crown Chakra or Sahasrara Chakra . This makes us receptive to divine blessing. After that we invoke for divine energy. When we are receptive enough we can receive maximum divine energy. This energy at the later part of the meditation is used to bless the mother Earth and all the people dwelling in her. We bless the earth with loving kindness , with happiness.

To render service means for the student or chela to be useful. Service is a manifestation of your spiritual growth.

Service, together with meditation, is one of the fastest ways to achieve illumination. What is purpose of having big chakras? To do service. When you do service it is like giving your chakras muscles. The greater your service, the greater your spiritual development.

A big ship is meant to carry a lot of cargo. To develop bigger chakras without doing service is of no use. Use your big chakras to do something productive! This is service.
