Inner Purification takes you a Step closer to Spirituality
"The reason some people are in big trouble is because they have big character flaw."
-Master Choa Kok Sui
As our incarnated soul spends more and more time on this earth, our thoughts and actions start polluting our Aura. With each passing day we do things from a more selfish perspective. This affects our rate of our spiritual growth. Master Choa Kok Sui has explained the necessity of purification as a part of five pillars of Pranic Healing. Higher spiritual practice is not possible without these five pillars. So, what are the five pillars that master has explained in Arhatic Preparatory level?
- Devotion to the Supreme Being and reverence to the Spiritual Teacher.
- Purifications.
- Meditations.
- Study.
- Service and Tithing .
Purification has been broadly divided into two categories by Master Choa Kok Sui. Physical Purification and Inner Purification. While Physical Purification includes proper physical exercises and breathing practices before meditation, physical exercise after meditation and also proper diet, Inner Purification means purifying our soul and improving our character.
Master’s Interpretation of Inner Purification
The importance of character building and inner purification before practicing higher spirituality has been repeated time and again by Master in his teachings. Master has explained that our vices too are energies. Therefore, these negative qualities can be disintegrated like negative energies. But this would only be possible if we are aware and willing to do the same.
How do we achieve Inner Purification?
It is possible to achieve Inner Purification through Inner Reflection and Firm Resolution.
Inner Reflection: Throughout the entire day we have multiple encounters with various people and our actions and reactions vary one person to another. At times we are rude even without intending to. We hurt people with or without realizing. At those moments, those reactions seem right. Some deeds of the day, if re-evaluated later, would seem pointless or even wrong. But a word once said or an action once performed cannot be taken back. This is where the need of inner reflection arises. It means reflecting on what one has done the entire day.
Firm Resolution: Once we realize what wrong actions we have taken today or what wrong and hurtful words we have used today; it is necessary to mentally erase the same. Once we are able to erase these mentally, the next job is to imagine right thoughts, rights actions, right speech and right emotion repeatedly. Master emphasizes on the word “repeatedly”. But, why is that so? As per ancient teaching, “repeated good thoughts will inevitably manifest as good actions” and “repeated good actions will eventually manifest as a virtue” (The Origin of Modern Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga by Master Choa Kok Sui).
If we just consider the simplicity of this teaching it will surprise us how easy it is to build a good character and master great virtues. It is all about focusing some energy and time towards good thoughts. It is that obvious. When we are happy and positive, we radiate positive energy. Our chakras become more active and we finally become ready to practice Higher Spirituality.
